While Jena is at Robin Bryant’s Improvisation workshop this weekend (07/10), Susan Tate will be guest teaching Jena’s Sunday Nia class at 9:30am. We’ll miss our usual Sunday crowd, but Susan is a brilliant Nia teacher and we know you’ll have lots of fun! 
Eron will be continuing his usual Martial Movement class on Sunday at 6:30pm, and Jena will be back leading Breema Lab at 8:30am on Monday, following up with Nia at 9:30am.

There are two classes, each with a different emphasis (Jena & I will be attending both). I’ve included Robin’s own descriptions of each session here:
July 9th, 9am-12:45pm: Dance as a Healing Art
Saturday’s workshop liberates spirit to create through the body. Focus is on inner dance, allowing restrictions to transform… enlivening one’s own unique way of moving.
July 10th, 9am-12:45pm: Dance as a Communication Art
Sunday’s workshop acts to increase the power of our outer dance. Emphasis is on clarity, ownership of movement, and connection with Life!
Additionally, here’s Robin’s description of the focus of her work:
My workshops are interactive, and complementary to all dance/movement forms, and created for the expansion of the human spirit in everyone. They are adventurous, freeing, and deeply joyful, I am seeking all those with experience in any of the free forms of movement . . . those who have studied any dance form . . .those who love Life! . . . and equally for all those who have had no experience whatsoever. Everyone is welcome!
Each class is from 9am-12:45pm: please arrive on time, as Robin will begin each session promptly at 9:15am.

Jill Pagano and Randee Fox are co-teaching a Nia class, then hosting a trunk show with NiaWear and Jennie McCall’s jewelry with wine and food on Friday evening, May 13th from 5:30-7:30 PM for people interested in learning more about the Nia White Belt which they plan to co-train from November 4-11th at Blue Heron Ranch Studio.

We’ll be hosting the second Movement, Music & Magic celebratory ritual dance experience on Earth day, Friday, April 22nd, from 7:30-9:00pm.
Like the first experience, we will focus on the cycles of creation and will be beginning with Nia’s 5 Stages of Self Healing, led by Jena. We’ll then embark on an exploration of the cycle of life with a playlist inspired by the Mayan ritual calendar, the Tzolk’in.
As before, this event is held at the Dance space, and the cost is $13 (class cards are also accepted). We are limiting the experience to 13 participants, so pre-registration by e-mail is recommended.

Expanding our ways of connecting with dancers and seekers of beautiful movement experiences, we’re now on Twitter as @Kinesthesis.
We’ll provide updates here that are more day-to-day, frequently describing events that are happening today, soon, or recording our thoughts and experiences of our own dance journey.
The Kinesthesis mailing list will continue to provide monthly and semi-weekly updates of our goings-on, and we’ll also post any class changes or cancellations there, as well.

On Friday, March 25th, from 7:30-9:30pm at the Dance Space we’ll be holding our second seasonal experience–SpringDance 2011.
This event will feature a Reiki drumming / journey meditation by our good friend Roman Delgado, followed by dancing and artistic expression. The focus of the experience, like spring itself, is centered upon the blossoming of self and opening to embrace life’s bounty and joy.
You can use your class cards for this 2-hour event, or just show up with $13 at the door and be ready to dance!

Be supported to explore, with movement and music, the magic that is awakened when we integrate Five-stages work, Freedance, and the chance to dance and experience a story arc that mirrors the cycles of the Mayan spiritual calendar, the Tzolk’in (but also reflects universal cycles of creation, transformation, and growth, so is not constrained by any particular calendar or practice).
We will begin in circle. Then, enter into exploration of creative cycles using imagery, art, dance, and sound. The experience will be guided, yet you are encouraged to move as you are moved to move. I will offer pearls of thought throughout the event. We will end as we began, in circle.
All are welcome and preregistration is requested as space is limited to 13 participants. Join us and support your creativity, dancing through life!
